My son’s personal testimony with Jesus

My son Jordan who is now 18 years old was raised in a Christian home but as he grew up I realized that he did not have the living reality of Jesus in his heart and life.

Jordan has gone through many transitional life changes as a teenager one being the loss of his mother in a car accident.

Jordan ended up being a rebellious person towards me, his father, and also with God which ultimately led  him to experimenting with drugs. I had him committed to a drug rehab program after he had been kicked out of two schools. This drug rehab was a short term residential program that provided him some structure and  counseling that he so desperately needed.

Upon his release from the institution Jordan and I moved to Israel where I was going to do some missions work. It wasn’t long after this that Jordan began to relapse into his previous condition of rebellion. I began to think that if he continues to live his life in this self destruct mode that one day he would either end up in jail or dead.

Honestly I just began to give up on him and was preparing myself for the worst.

Anyway one thing I never knew about Jordan is that  he had a gift in playing the guitar and one day when he was with a friend he began to play some of the worship music that he had learned in our Messianic congregation in Tel Aviv.

Prior to this my son wanted nothing to do with God and Jesus. During services he  would stare with his  arms folded waiting for the moment that church was dismissed but something happened this particular day and he said that he felt like God was drawing him and afterwards he confessed to me that this had happened to him on other occasions as well but he had always resisted. This time was different thou and he received Christ and from that moment on he was literally changed overnight and honestly when I first began to see the changes in him I was skeptical because he had been such a con artist before but after a while I saw his genuineness and so did every body else. It had become evident to all that Christ had changed his heart. Now today he is still serving the Lord and him and my son-in -law lead praise and worship at a local church.
