He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>14 <\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.<\/strong> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\">This is a profound description to the glorification of the Messiah as found in the Tanakh which clearly portrays His sense of likeness and identity to humanity while maintaining an exalted state of divinity. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\">Jesus refers to himself by definition on several occasions as being the\u00a0 \u201cson of man\u201d. One particular scripture in Matthew 24:30-31 has a\u00a0 striking resemblance based on similar verbiage as found here in Daniel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman; color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';\"><sup>30 <\/sup><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">\u201cAt that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';\"><sup>31 <\/sup><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\">Jesus as a messianic figure has been exalted and given dominion over all peoples and nations such as the prophecy in Daniel indicates. The in breaking of His kingdom has been vast in it\u2019s worldwide application and influence and though it has not been fully consummated yet it still has not been diminished. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\">Christianity today is regarded as the largest religion to whom the world looks to regarding Jesus as their Jewish Messiah. This is one of the characteristics about the Messiah that makes Him standout among messianic hopefuls and that is His influence upon the goyim or gentiles to whom would offer their allegiance to Him likewise. Who else fits this description in human history?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\">Though Christianity from a world wide scope is still largely persecuted yet the kingdom of the Messiah has not been destroyed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"> No matter how much the world system has determined to exterminate the rule, reign, and influence of the Messiah by\u00a0 propagating its hatred and violence by means of false religions\/cults and through the godless influences and philosophies of humanism\u00a0 and atheism it has not succeeded according to it\u2019s program of genocide. In their vain attempts they have been rendered useless and have not succeeded in extinguishing His glory. Every frontal assault represented from every worldly dominion and power such as kings, rulers, dictators and such have failed to remove Him from His throne even though they themselves have long been removed from their coveted position of rulership. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\">While Daniel depicts the obedience of the nations Psalms 2 is juxtaposed to His rule and reign as I have just explained. Today this is a living reality to the truthfulness regarding the fulfillment of the scriptures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>1<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>Why do the nations conspire<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica;\"><strong><sup>a<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>and the peoples plot in vain? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -54.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>2<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>The kings of the earth take their stand <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>and the rulers gather together <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -36.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>against the Lord <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>and against his Anointed One.<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';\"><strong><sup>b<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -54.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>3<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>\u201cLet us break their chains,\u201d they say, <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 9.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>\u201cand throw off their fetters.\u201d <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -54.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>4<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>The One enthroned in heaven laughs; <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>the Lord scoffs at them. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -54.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>5<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>Then he rebukes them in his anger <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -54.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>6<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>\u201cI have installed my King<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';\"><strong><sup>c<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>on Zion, my holy hill.\u201d <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -54.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>7<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>I will proclaim the decree of the Lord: <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>He said to me, \u201cYou are my Son<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>today I have become your Father.<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';\"><strong><sup>e<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -54.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>8<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>Ask of me, <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>and I will make the nations your inheritance, <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>the ends of the earth your possession. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -54.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>9<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>You will rule them with an iron scepter<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';\"><strong><sup>f<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>; <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 9.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>you will dash them to pieces like pottery.\u201d <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -54.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>10<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>Therefore, you kings, be wise; <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>be warned, you rulers of the earth. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -54.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>11<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>Serve the Lord with fear <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>and rejoice with trembling. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -54.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>12<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>Kiss the Son, lest he be angry <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>and you be destroyed in your way, <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -36.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>for his wrath can flare up in a moment. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 9.0px 72.0px; text-indent: -27.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>Blessed are all who take refuge in him<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\">Moving on to another important dimension of Daniel is that\u00a0 His appearance is referred to as the \u201cson of man\u201d yet we see that He was given and allowed worship which was strictly forbidden based on the testimony of G-d\u2019s word. G-d makes no allowances for the worship of any other figure whether beast or angel and He says not to make idols likewise which predominantly ranks number one among the ten words or commandments of the L-rd. This exalted realm was uniquely reserved for G-d himself and this is communicated in Exodus 34:14 and Deuteronomy 4:15-20.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>14 <\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\"><strong>Deuteronomy 4:15-20<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>15 <\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>You saw no form of any kind the day the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the fire. Therefore watch yourselves very carefully, <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>16 <\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>so that you do not become corrupt and make for yourselves an idol, an image of any shape, whether formed like a man or a woman, <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>17 <\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>or like any animal on earth or any bird that flies in the air, <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>18 <\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>or like any creature that moves along the ground or any fish in the waters below. <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>19 <\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars\u2014all the heavenly array\u2014do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the Lord your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven. <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><strong><sup>20 <\/sup><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\"><strong>But as for you, the Lord took you and brought you out of the iron-smelting furnace, out of Egypt, to be the people of his inheritance, as you now are.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\">Thisemphatically states that no other gods would be worshipped. So how does the \u201cAncient of Days\u201d allow for this diversion of truth. He doesn\u2019t, and therefore it is a defining moment in which the very nature of the one liken unto the \u201cson of man\u201d \u00a0would be conjoined with G-d \u00a0Himself in the mystery of God\u2019s unity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: small;\">Lastly my challenge to you is that you do not find yourself like the participants in Psalms 2. If you think that you are loyal to God remember that as you study the Tanakh you will see time and time again how that G-d\u2019s chosen people continually rejected God\u2019s chosen representatives which include the likes of prophets, priests, kings, and even G-d Himself. G-d\u2019s authority had being challenged from Sinai and before even to this present hour of rejecting the one to whom homage and obeisance is due. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The Messiah in Isaiah 53 was rejected and in the Gospel accounts it says that He came unto his own but His own received Him not which ultimately lead to Golgotha and death upon the human implement of torture namely the cross. So ultimately while waiting for the indefinite period of his coming and return in pouring out this spirit of grace and supplication let us hearken to the voice of G-d as spoken of by the Psalmist in 95:7-8 that states \u201cToday if you hear the voice of G-d do not harden your hearts\u201d . Today let us embrace G-ds provision and let us kiss the \u201cSon\u201d lest He be angry with you and destroy you.
