Gedatsuaki

Gedatsu Kai is a new religious sect in Japan which is a syncretistic movement which combines Shintoism and Shingon Buddhism and I have previously written about both of these groups at

Shintoism

Shingon

This group was founded by Seiken Okano or Eizo Okano who was given the title “Gedatsu Kongo Sonja” and is also refereed to as Kongō Sama or Sonja.

Some of the controversial matters of this organization are its dangerous behavior in association with the occultic practices of using such things which are similar in nature to tarot cards as encouraging the channeling of spirits known as Ongoho Shugyo. Another observance is that of  Amacha Kuyo which is a ritual that centers around a ceremony of using cards with sweet tea poured on them as a way to purify any suffering ancestral spirits.

Therefore as individuals participate in these rites it opens them up to the evil and deceptive work of Satanic ritual which leads not to liberation or freedom but rather to the bondage of the soul which imprisons the worshipper to be inhabited with a demonic presence or spirits. Thus these adherents are being controlled and manipulated by these powerful beings as subjecting themselves to a malevolent force. Furthermore as they communicate within the metaphysical realm of these spirit guides through the facilitation of a medium, who interprets omens and messages, it leaves a person vulnerable to having a misdirected spiritual experience in their search to connect with a higher power known as the Kami Tenjinchigi along with the Buddha Gochi Nyorai or Mahavairocana.

Essentially what I question is not their having a real and tangible spiritual experience but rather the evil nature of these capricious beings as these members are hoodwinked into believing that these associations are beneficial as contributing towards their enlightenment or moksha. Thus they are given the illusion of helping them achieve their goals as a means to the ends but instead of being beneficial they are only a distraction and an oppositional counterpart to the one true God as exchanging the truth of God for a lie. Which is similar to the misrepresentation of calling themselves a church which is actually a term that has nothing to do with this cult but rather it is used to identify Christian believers therefore in the same way that this deceptive language may allure or draw unsuspecting individuals to join this organization is much like the nature of these entities who are shrouded in darkness but who masquerade as angels of light.

2 Corinthains 11:14

14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

Also another conflicting matter is that there is a philosophical contradiction between their practices and their Buddhist values as they try to alleviate pain and suffering which may be oppositional to the karmic forces of debt and retribution which are at work within their lives to wreak havoc instead of peace.

Lastly on a positive note they have identified the problems of overindulgence in respect to the hedonistic pleasures of selfishness in seeing such behavior as  a human weakness in regards to sinful cravings and desire.

However what I find difficult to believe is their ability to be able to uphold such moralistic ideals through self effort, meditation, rituals, merit and discipline as overcoming their natural tendencies and habits. Perhaps you have fought and struggled to walk the talk and I would encourage you that you can succeed but only as you are given a new nature with new desires and attitudes. This can be received as a gift from God according to His mercy and grace afforded to you through the mediatorial role of Jesus who is the true enlightenment as purifying  one’s soul.

Titus 2:14:

14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

So unlike the unholy spirits, this is accomplished by means of the Holy Spirit who comes to inhabit and indwell you as a life giving Spirit.

Romans 8:1-9

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

In turn when you receive Jesus as Lord and Savior you become a recipient and beneficiary of His love as granting  you the gift of eternal peace.

John 14:27

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

In closing there are millions of people who have been delivered from the strongholds of sinful desires as being consistent among Christians from all walks of life and cultures and here are some of their testimonies including my own.

John 8:36

36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
