Atheist /Agnostic/ Non-Theist
John 3:20
20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
1 John 1:7
7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
When considering the position of a person who denies or defiantly questions the God concept, does so, not with a higher degree of probability against its antithesis but rather as manufacturing a personal preference as driven by a need for autonomy which often uses the irrationality of emotionalism as it’s argument for legitimacy.
Often it presents itself under the guise of intellectualism but this should make them question why other brilliant and educated minds think otherwise.
Philosophically it is untenable for a person to claim to be an atheist or a strong agnostic, for that matter, as to take such a position can never be absolutely proven, due to the limitations of human knowledge and experience which always leaves the cosmos open to the possibility of God. To say otherwise is simply dishonest and arrogant as to maintain such a presumptuous view. It then comes down to more of a matter of faith in a belief system which I contest to be far less plausible than its competitor.
Anyway when contemplating this matter I would at least ask you to be willing to re-examine your position, after all to take such an oppositional view without honestly evaluating the matter of God may only prove to destroy rather than promote the self by which you are so committed to preserve.
